Veterans Day

Veterans day is a United states public holiday, observed annually on November 11, that honors military veterans. It was first called Armistice Day but then they the U.S holiday renamed Veterans Day in 1954. Some people may get Veterans Day and Memorial Day mixed up, Memorial Day is the day set aside to honor America's war dead. Veterans Day is when they honor all American veterans.
Some ways to honor veterans

• Place flowers on the graves of the veterans
• Proudly display your american flag
• Send your leftover Halloween candy to soldiers
• Hug a veteran
• Wear red white and blue

Reflection: I think that Veterans day is a great idea because we are honoring all the veterans. Also that everyone should honor them and appreciate them for what they did for us.
